The International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) is looking for applications to a U.S. based
community leadership program for civic and community leaders.

Based on their professional interests IREX will place approximately 68 participants in internships
for four months with community-based organizations or government offices throughout the United
States.

The program will focus on the theme “Accountability and Transparency” and will provide the
participants with enhanced practical expertise, leadership skills and professional contacts to address
issues in their own communities. Using a combination of traditional learning styles, educational
environments and web-based technologies, IREX will create an online Community Leadership
Institute to provide the fellows with up to 500 hours of structured leadership training during the
U.S. exchange.
