Contest deadline: July 16th, 2010
Students outside the U.S. are asked to produce and upload a two to three minute video showcasing ways U.S. community colleges can reach, market, and communicate with students in their home country.

Scholarships will be awarded on behalf of sponsoring colleges of Destination California and participating in AACC’s international publication, Profiles of U.S. Community Colleges—A Guide for International Students. Students can only use the scholarships toward tuition at the participating colleges.

A sokszínűség ünneplése
A sokszínűség ünneplése annak a megértését jelenti, hogy minden ember egyedi teremtmény. Az emberek között a faji, etnikai, nemi, a szexuális orientáció, a társadalmi-gazdasági státusz, az életkor, a fizikai képességek, a hit, a politikai felfogás és más ideológiák területén mutatott különbségek tesznek minket egyénivé. A sokszínűség ünneplése azt is jelenti, hogy a toleranciát meghaladva magunkévá tesszük és ünnepeljük a minden emberben meglévő sokszínűség gazdag dimenzióját.
A budapesti Amerikai Nagykövetség meghirdeti a második Tolerancia Videó Versenyt, hogy felhívja a figyelmet a sokszínűség fontosságára. Olyan magyarországi középiskolában tanuló diákok jelentkezését várjuk, akik a sokszínűség üzenetét megfogalmazó rövid, kreatív és gondolatébresztő videóklippeket tesznek közzé a YouTube-on. A döntősök meghívást kapnak az Amerikai Nagykövetségen 2010. áprilisában megrendezésre kerülő díjátadó ünnepségre.
ÚTMUTATÓ
Készíts egy YouTube videót, mely eredeti és kreatív üzenetet közvetít a sokszínűségről!
A videó ne legyen hosszabb 30másodpercnél.
A videó egyaránt lehet magyar és angol nyelvű, de akár szöveg nélküli munkát is elfogadunk.
Kizárólag magyarországi középiskolák tanulói jogosultak a részvételre.
Egyéni résztvevők és csoportok is jelentkezhetnek, de utóbbi esetben csak egy díjat kapnak, függetlenül a csoport létszámától.
4.Kattints az “Add Video”-ra, hogy feltöltsd a saját videódat!
5.Küldj egy e-mail-t a video@usembassy.hu–ra és add meg a neved, az email címed, az iskolád és a városod nevét.
A versennyel kapcsolatos kérdéseket is a video@usembassy.hu –ra küldheted.

“CELEBRATE DIVERSITY”
Celebrating diversity is to understand that each individual is unique. Differences of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies make us individuals. It is about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each person.
The American Embassy in Budapest is sponsoring the second annual Tolerance Video Competition to highlight the importance of celebrating diversity.High school students in Hungary are invited to submit a short video clip on YouTube that captures the message of celebrating diversity in a creative, imaginative, and thought-provoking way. Finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony in Budapest in April 2010.
INSTRUCTIONS
Create a YouTube video with an original and creative message about diversity;
Videos must not be more than 30 seconds in length;
Videos can be in English or Hungarian, but words are not required;
To be eligible, participants must be enrolled in a Hungarian high school;
Individual and team submissions will be accepted.However, only one prize will be awarded for each finalist;
Grand Prize:Apple iPad.The winning video will also be posted on the U.S. Embassy’s website;
Second Place: iPod nano.
Third Place: iPod shuffle.
All finalists will also receive small embassy prizes and a certificate signed by the U.S. Ambassador.

The Prize
An all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., New York and Hollywood.
Gala screenings of the winning videos in Hollywood, New York and Washington
Exposure to filmmakers and the U.S. film and television industry.
Meetings with democracy advocates from government, media and civil society.
The Timeline
SUBMISSION DEADLINE - MIDNIGHT GMT JANUARY 31, 2010.
Challenge semifinalists will be selected on or about March 31, 2010.
An independent jury will narrow down the semifinalists to 21 finalists on or about May 15, 2010.
The general public will vote online for the winning videos May 15 – June 15, 2010.
Seven winners – one each from the Western Hemisphere, Europe, Middle East/North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, South & Central Asia, East Asia/Pacific and one anonymous winner – will be announced in mid-June 2010.
The six publicly identified winners, one from each of the six geographic regions, will travel to the United States to claim their prize in the fall of 2010.
The Details
You must be 18 or older to enter.
Videos can be any style: fiction or documentary, animated or live action.
Videos must be no longer than three minutes.
Videos must be in English or have English subtitles.
Contestants may enter anonymously, but anonymous winners cannot collect the grand prize.
